23:09 – The summary of the match: OM impose themselves by suffering against OL
After four matches without winning in Ligue 1 (three defeats for a draw), Olympique de Marseille regained the taste of victory this Sunday evening during the 14th day of Ligue 1 by overcoming OL (1 -0). However, OM were not impressive against the Lyonnais, but unlike the meeting against Tottenham on Tuesday evening (1-2), the Marseillais were able to hold on and turn their backs to achieve a precious success. Alexis Sanchez had the first chance of the match, but was overtaken by Nicolas Tagliafico to take over a cross from Amine Harit two meters from goal (13th). The Argentinian defender, imperial, then hampered Jonathan Clauss, who was about to victoriously take over a cross from Nuno Tavares (20th). OM then lowered their footing, without being worried, before taking the lead thanks to Samuel Gigot, quicker than Moussa Dembélé on a corner (1-0, 43rd).
Not very dangerous in the first period, OL were not much more worrying on the offensive level in the second period, despite the changes made fairly early in the match by Laurent Blanc. It was even the Marseillais who had the best chances at the very end of the match, through Sanchez (87th) and Guendouzi (88th). We have to wait for additional time to see Lacazette (89th), Cherki (90th +2) and Tagliafico (90th +5) make Pau Lopez and Olympique de Marseille shiver. Lyon remains stuck in 8th place, seven points behind their evening opponent after 14 Ligue 1 days played this season.
