The OM assumes that the victim, who was mentally disabled, most likely hit himself hard against his own throat. The man injured himself more often and required 24-hour supervision. Hitting himself hard on his larynx would have impeded his breathing. The man was found on the morning of August 29, 2022 with injuries to his throat and blood around his mouth. He died in hospital a day later.
