During the Olympics in Barcelona in 1992 and the Olympics in Atlanta in 1996 it was Susanne Gunnarsson who was Agneta’s radar partner in the K-2 500. Annette Norbergone of Sweden’s most successful curling players of all time, knew Agneta well.
– Partly, we sat in Bragdjuryn together, and Susanne Gunnarsson is one of my closest friends, and Agneta was another of Susanne’s very close friends. I spoke to Susanne last Sunday and tried to support her, who has experienced so much and was close to Agneta, says Anette to Sportbibeln.

Anette Norberg’s grief

She continues:
– Then I met Agneta a few times and she was a fantastic person. She was calm, you immediately got a very… ‘connection’ with her, she was the kind of person you felt seen by. It’s terribly tragic.

For Anette, Agneta’s death was a tough message to receive.
– I was very sad. Now, through Susanne, I’ve known about this (that Agneta was ill) for a while, but it’s still a shock when it happens. And it went so unbelievably fast, says Anette.
