Olympic hero Anette Norberg is now embarking on a completely new sport

She has won two Olympic golds and three WC golds in curling.
Now Anette Norberg is embarking on a completely new path.
She becomes sports manager for the men’s team in the newly started Härnösands Handball Association.

“I love challenges and hope to be able to contribute my experience and knowledge to handball as well,” says Annette Norberg to the club’s website.

Furthermore, the former curling star says that it was not a difficult choice to step into the world of handball.

“When I was asked the question, I didn’t have to think very long. The timing was just right and it will be exciting to be on the journey in a newly started association.”

Norberg’s new job

Härnösands Handball Association was created through a merger of the associations Brännan and Härnösands HK. The men’s team in the newly started association will play in division 2 north.

“Curling is an extremely tough sport mentally. Handball is a physical and tough sport, but it’s also about attitude and mental strength. I’m confident I can teach the guys a lot about that side of the sport. Team sports are about getting each individual to reach their maximum and to perform for the good of the team.”

During her successful curling career, skipper Anette Norberg and her teammates won two Olympic golds – 2006 in Turin and 2010 in Vancouver – three WC golds and seven EC golds.
