Olympic Games 2024: “It’s a joy to say that Marseille is at the heart of the world” for the arrival of the flame

In Marseille, tens of thousands of people are expected in the Old Port this Wednesday, May 8 to welcome the Olympic flame. The Belem, the three-masted ship which transported it from the Greek port of Piraeus, is due to drop anchor around 7 p.m. This will be the start of the relay on land across 74 departments, until the opening of the Olympic Games on July 26.
