There is chaos and unrest in Swedish football.
Andrea Möllerberg has already been fired and Fredrik Reinfeldt is strongly questioned.
Now TV4 journalist Olof Lundh reveals exactly what he thinks about the situation.
On Monday came the coup de grace for the Swedish Football Association’s general secretary Andrea Mollerberg. She was fired with immediate effect after just 15 months in the post, but she has faced heavy criticism.
Lundh’s harsh words
Seasoned TV4 journalist Olof Lundhwho has watched the Swedish national team for many years, is not at all surprised by the decision.
– There has been a growing dissatisfaction with her leadership, she has worked for less than 15 months and so she has “used up the trust”. There have been a number of signals from both employees who have quit, but also employees who remain, says Lundh in SVT’s “Morgonstudion” and also thinks that the timing is unexpected.
– It comes in a surprising situation when there is a chairmanship battle in the Swedish Football Association so it is messy, to say the least.

You can safely say that things are messy within SvFF right now. Lundh actually admits that he has never experienced anything like this during his years with Blågult.
– I have covered Swedish football for 25 years and during those years you have never before been close to this, he says in the TV program.
– That a chairman is challenged after less than two years and the general secretary is dismissed after less than 15 months, with an annual salary. It would have seemed strange in many places, but in Swedish football, where there have been old men who have been sitting forever… That is no longer the case.
Criticism of Reinfeldt
Olof Lundh also says what he thinks of the much-questioned SvFF chairman Fredrik Reinfeldt.
– The criticism is broad. It’s all from the fact that he has many assignments, he is paid full-time but still has six or seven other board assignments. People think that’s weird. Then everything from Saudi Arabia, where they think he pushed for Sweden to vote yes. He has not been out in the districts and socialized, it is not Fredrik Reinfeldt’s best branch. There have been a number of areas where he has received criticism and then he has backed Andrea Möllerberg. Therefore, there has grown a resistance against Reinfeldt, he says in SVT.

Lundh also does not believe that the situation will calm down after Möllerberg’s departure. On February 14, the election committee announces that it must present its chairman candidate before the association’s annual meeting on March 22.
– I think it will be calmer in the office, because people can lower their shoulders. But the presidential race remains. Will it be the challenger Simon Åström, who has the support of many, or will it be Fredrik Reinfeldt who gets to continue?
