Politician and publicist Olle Wästberg has died, the family told TT.
“Olle Wästberg, after a period of illness, passed away last night (Tuesday),” the family writes.
Among other things, he was a Member of Parliament for the former People’s Party and State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance. He has also been editor-in-chief of Expressen and chairman of the board of Sveriges Radio.
Wästberg was also consul general in New York, director general of the Swedish Institute and chairman of the state democracy inquiry in 2016.
Olle Wästberg was 78 years old.
