– Definitely an unforgettable moment during my career, I’m sure I won’t forget it easily, Kapanen tells Urheilu.
– There haven’t been many of these hat tricks during my career, this was the first at the adult level. It will certainly give more boost and self-confidence going forward.

Kapasen’s uncle Sami Kapanen and his son Casper have been successful in the World Cup races. Oliver’s grandfather Hannu in turn completed the goal in the World Cup in 1976.
– It warms me up that I won’t be left out of the group. The goal is to be the best of all at some point, Oliver says confidently.
Live off the puck
Kapanen is playing at the adult level for the first time in the World Championships. He played a top season in KalPa and was the name of the spring in the playoffs as well.
In the opening match of the World Cup, he was not able to utilize his strengths due to the nature of the game, but slowly he has gotten to grips with the game better.
– In the opening game, there was more struggle and not much play on the puck. There were traps and delayed starts, which is why I didn’t get to the puck as much as today.
In the future, he wants to operate more on the puck and create scoring chances.
– However, that puck is an object on which I live on the field. I like messing around with it.
