Apple had initially explored developing an OLED MacBook in collaboration with Samsung, pegging the potential launch date at 2025. However, later reports showed delays in the development timeline. While Samsung has the capacity to mass produce 8th-generation OLED displays in early 2026, Apple will need to set final release dates for the OLED MacBook Pro, which could launch in the second half of 2026 or even 2027.
While eighth-generation OLED displays are ready for production, there are also concerns about costs.
