In a statement from the Ministry of Defense in Moscow, it is stated that Sudzja and two more settlements in the border region are “liberated”.
Sudzja is located a half -mile northeast of the border with Ukraine, along a country road that has been an important supply route for Ukrainian forces since they entered Russian Kursk in an unexpected offensive this summer.
