OJ Simpson’s sports career

Simpson is best remembered in Finland for the scandalous trial of 1995, where he was accused of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and this friend by Ronald Goldman of murders. They were found stabbed outside Brown Simpson’s home in June 1994.

Simpson was acquitted the following year at the end of a colorful trial in Los Angeles. The trial was called the trial of the century in the media.

According to prosecutors, Simpson murdered his ex-wife and her friend at the end of a jealous drama. However, the jury found Simpson not guilty.

According to prosecutors, traces of blood as well as fiber samples and found hair linked Simpson to the murders. The defense accused white police officers of framing Simpson as guilty.

The case sharply divided ethnic groups in the United States in the 1990s.

Simpson was suspected immediately after the bloodshed. He was on the run for some time before the police caught him.

Later, however, the civil court sentenced O. J. Simpson to huge compensations for the families of the victims.

In 2008, Simpson was sentenced to prison for involvement in armed robbery, deprivation of liberty and assault. The targets of the robbery were two sports memorabilia sellers in Las Vegas.

He entered parole in 2017 and was released in 2021.
