A large oil leak has taken place at a power station in Bærum in Norway, after burglary and damage.

Between 50 and 60 tonnes of oil is estimated to have leaked since the burglary happened this weekend.

“It looks like someone has cut through the fence and unloaded on a lid on a transformer standing there, so that oil has started to run out,” Thomas Fennefoss announces at a state in a press release.

The authorities discovered the damage and leak on Sunday afternoon. No suspect has been arrested for the effort.

Bærum is located in the western Oslo area.
