In Britain, many followed the court’s call for picnics and outdoor events. Home gardens, parks, and balconies were filled with flags and celebrants in blue, red, and white.
There was advance speculation in the British media about the 96-year-old queen enduring the occasion of a long holiday. Queen Elizabeth II however, came to the balcony of Buckingham Palace on a couple of occasions to flash to a large audience. The party was received by his son, Prince of Wales Charles.
The Queen also sent a lantern trail to illuminate London and other parts of Britain. Torches and party lights also came on in many countries of the British Commonwealth.
Congratulations from the world
The Queen’s long reign is coming to an end and Britain is preparing for the inevitable change of era. He received congratulations from leaders around the world.
The President of France Emmanuel Macron said she shared “the respect and love she felt for the British queen.” The Queen has visited France most of the time abroad, she has made five state visits and several other visits there.
“One Woman Show”
The subject of the front page of the British press was not difficult to guess this morning.
The Sun magazine headlines its headline with the headline “One Woman Show.”
The Queen’s dedication to her birthplace was praised in numerous articles. The rare joint meeting of the royal family also received column space. Prince resigned from royal duties Harry and the Duchess Meghan followed the festivities out of reach of the cameras.
