The Official Xbox Twitter account announced that a special edition of the Official Xbox Podcast will be released soon. The post confirms that the podcast will take place on February 15 at 12pm PT / 3pm ET / 8pm GMT. It’s hosted by Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer, alongside Xbox head Sarah Bond and Xbox Game Studios head Matt Booty. It will be uploaded to Xbox’s official YouTube channel, or alternatively it can be listened to on all major podcast platforms.

People on social media are already speculating that Xbox games will go multiplatform. “Bringing Xbox multiplatform will devalue the platform, please don’t do this,” one user says in response to Spencer’s post. Others state that a possible exit on the hardware front will negatively affect the industry. And there is certainly some truth to this; Microsoft’s caving in on this front would leave the other two major hardware players in more dominant positions.
