The official results of the general elections held in Bosnia and Herzegovina on October 2 have been announced.
The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CIK) announced the official results of the elections held on October 2 in the country, which determined the members of cantons, entities, national parliaments and the Presidential Council.
Accordingly, the new Bosniak member of the Presidential Council, the candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) with the support of the opposition bloc consisting of 11 political parties, Denis Becirovic, the new Croatian member Zeljko, the candidate of the Democratic Front (DF) and Popular Union (GS) coalition, the Croatian membership of the Council. With Komsic, the new Serbian member became the candidate of the Union of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) Zeljka Cvijanovic.
The “victory” declared by the current Serbian member and SNSD Chairman Milorad Dodik, who is competing with his rival Democratic Progressive Party (PDP) candidate Jelena Trivic for the Presidency of Republika Srpska (RS) of the two entities in the country, has been officially confirmed.
BOSNIA SERIES HOLD A SHOW AT BANJA LUKA
After the general elections held in the country on October 2, a “we won” debate broke out between the two candidates in RS, Dodik and Trivic, and protests were held against Dodik.
While the CIK announced on October 10 that it had decided to recount the controversial RS Presidency votes, thousands of Bosnian Serbs gathered in Banja Luka at the call of Dodik, in a demonstration called “The Fatherland Calls”. (AA)
