Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Russian-appointed regional occupation board, states that offensive actions have been concentrated in two cities: Orichiv, which is located about five miles south of the city of Zaporizhzhya, and Hulyaipole, which is further east.
— The front is mobile, especially in two directions: Orichiv and Hulyaipole, Rogov is said to have said according to the state news agency Ria.
“The initiative is in our hands,” he says according to the information.
In its daily report on Sunday, the Ukrainian military said more than 15 residential areas in Zaporizhzhya were affected by attacks.
The front in southern Ukraine has been calmer than further east. Russian President Vladimir Putin has claimed that the country has “annexed” the county of Zaporizhzhya and three others, but does not control the entire area.
