In Natural Zoëy, Eddy is visiting the shelter. Dozens of volunteers work every day to patch up the injured and malnourished hedgehogs. Many little ones have to be bottle fed three times a day, there are those who carry parasites and need to be treated and there are those who are on an IV. For the right knowledge in the field of diseases, we collaborate with Utrecht University. “There’s even a tooth fairy, that’s what we call her, to clean the teeth of the older hedgehogs,” says Patricia, while Eddy bottle-feeds a baby hedgehog.
