Nieuwersluis – When you hear its name, you quickly think of a kingfisher that this bird is mainly seen on ice, but especially in this warm time they breed and it is nice to watch them. An orange chest, red legs and blue feathers. They can fly up to 80 kilometers per hour! They are mainly found near water, with somewhat steeper banks with some shrubs and trees. They make their nests between the roots of trees by digging tunnels, sometimes more than half a meter deep.
