Patrick Sommerlath’s father is the German businessman Walther Sommerlathwho died in 2020. Walther has received a lot of attention in the Swedish media in connection with a review from Call Facts.
There they were able to reveal that Walther was a member of the German Nazi Party and took over a Jewish-owned factory in Berlin in 1939, in connection with the Jews being put in concentration camps.

Patrick Sommerlath’s father Walther is the brother of none other than the Queen Silvia. Thus Patrick Sommerlath becomes the Queen’s nephew. However, he has been close to the entire royal family for large parts of his life.
Sommerlath grew up in Paris, but when his parents divorced, the 16-year-old Sommerlath moved to Sweden in 1987, straight to Drottningholm where Silvia was waiting for him, something that several media outlets wrote about.

Patrick Sommerlath’s profession – what does he do?
Sommerlath has not been on the lazy side since he came to Sweden. According to his LinkedIn he has been involved in starting up quite a few companies.
One of these is Kugge Media, who describe themselves as “a meaningful advertising channel”. On Company facts the company is described as “providing media space on e.g. truck pages for exposure or marketing purposes and related activities.”
He has also started a secret and exclusive members club called Nobile. According to The Express housed the club above Café Opera in Stockholm.
Finally, he has also helped start a dating app for dogs called DogDater.
Why did Patrick Sommerlath move to Sweden?
It is unclear why Patrick Sommerlath had to move into Drottningholm in Sweden when his parents divorced. His eight years older sister Sophie Pihutremained in Paris.

Patrick Sommerlath has three children with two different mothers. The eldest is the son Léopold, whom he had together with the artist and actor Camilla Lundén.
Together with the now ex-wife Maline Sommerlath he had the twins Anais and Chloe.

Patrick Sommerlath married Maline Luengo in Paris in 2011, who then took the surname Sommerlath. They should also have married later in Sweden the same year.

In an interview with Svensk Dam in 2016, Maline Sommerlath talked about the family’s life.

In 2021, Patrick Sommerlath was accused of having bought sex at a Thai massage parlor in Östermalm. In an interview with Swedish Lady he admitted that he fled the country to escape the police being able to serve him.
The suspected sex purchase had time to expire before Sommerlath returned to Sweden. He himself has claimed that he is innocent.
In April 2023, the owner of the Thai massage parlor, a man in his 70s, was sentenced to 2 years and 3 months in prison for aggravated prostitution.
