Even in 2023, speaking openly about sex in public can still be fatal. That’s the experience of former OC, California star Rachel Bilson. In a podcast she spoke openly about her intimate love life, which promptly cost her a job.
OC California lost acting job over sex details
According to Variety, Bilson revealed on her podcast, Broad Ideas, that she lost an acting job for guesting on the Women on Top podcast spoke openly about her sex life:
I got my job taken away for being open and honest about sex in a humorous way on our friend’s podcast. I basically lost a job I already had for being open about sex. At the present time. I am amazed.
So the prudish handling of the subject of sex in the USA is just as drastic today as it ever was. The OC, California star had to relive this experience in person.
Rachel Bilson starred as Summer Roberts for four seasons from 2003 to 2007. After the end of the cult series, she starred in a few episodes of How I Met Your Mother before getting on with Hart of Dixie her own series received. In 2017 she also played in Nashville.
