The Swedish men managed to grab a bronze earlier in the day, and when it came time for the ladies’ relay there was hope for another medal.
And it started well when Linn Persson did an incredible job and took the lead after the first two shots.
When the baton was then taken over by Anna Magnusson, things did not go as well, at least not in the shooting. She missed all the extra shots and incurred a penalty round.
Elvira Öberg was back from illness and brought Sweden up to a fight for a medal, but it was Hanna Öberg who would give Sweden new hope. But Sweden had to settle for a bronze.
The gold was secured by a shock nation – Italy.
