Oasis was formed in Manchester, UK in the early 1990s. For nearly 20 years, they sold over 70 million albums and topped the charts repeatedly.
– Today it is difficult to understand how big they were. TV, radio, newspapers – it was Oasis every day, says music journalist Tali da Silva.
In 2009, the band broke up after an argument between the frontmen and brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher. Since then, Liam has repeatedly and unsuccessfully pleaded with his brother to reunite. But now a reunion looks brighter than for a long time.
– Maybe Noel is starting to feel a little eager to be part of Oasis again, says Tali da Silva.
According to several British newspapers, the reunion should result in a number of gigs next year, with the Glastonbury festival as the main focus.
