It takes several days before the residents of Nyköping and Oxelösund can stop boiling the tap water, according to Nyköping municipality. The problems are a result of the leak that left parts of the cities without water earlier this week.
Analysis of water samples is ongoing, but to ensure that the water is not polluted, approved results are required for several days in a row.
– We talk about no earlier than Thursday if everything goes as it should, says a municipality’s press officer to TT.
Between 30,000 and 40,000 households and businesses were affected by the leak. Everyone has now got the water back.
