The strong end of the NY Islanders was too much for the Carolina Hurricanes in the hockey NHL playoffs. The match was tied at 1-1 until the last minutes, until the Islanders scored four goals and stormed to a 5-1 victory.
The Islanders’ last minute goals came in two minutes and 18 seconds. No team has scored four goals as quickly in the playoffs.
Carolina’s Finnish players could not score. Carolina goaltender Antti Raanta made 32 saves.
– I think we played well enough in the opening set, and in the second set we struggled. In the third set, we didn’t find the extra charge required to win, Raanta said on the NHL’s website.
