Nurse convicted of seven infant murders

A nurse has been convicted of the murder of seven newborn babies and the attempted murder of six other babies in Britain.

The murders and attempted murders are said to have taken place while she was working with sick and premature babies in a neonatal unit at a hospital in north-west England.

The 33-year-old woman was accused of injecting the babies with air, overfeeding them with milk and poisoning them with insulin.

She was arrested after an unusual number of deaths occurred between June 2015 and June 2016.

The woman has always denied any wrongdoing.
