“A commitment to Brant not only creates job opportunities for skilled workers, it also brings a positive impact to our local economy,” he said.

Based in Laval, PQ, Numesh invested more than $35 million to expand operations at the Cainsville facility.

“Numesh was looking to expand our operations into Southwestern Ontario,” said plant manager Chris Dekker. “We are very fortunate to have landed in this building in Brant County. We are going to do our part to bring employment and economic growth to the area.”

Numesh currently employs just over 50 people and will increase that total to 60 in the coming months.

“We have very low turnover, and I think what helps us retain and attract employees is our shift style,” explained the plant manager. “There are four crews that all work three days a week (12-hour shifts) and get four days off.”

The company produces construction mesh, mine wire mesh, straight and cut wire, pipe and manhole mesh, coils for cage-welding machines, and engineered welded wire.

Annual sales are in excess of $100 million.

Numesh president Mathieu Seguin told those in attendance the Cainsville facility is a testament to the company’s vision, innovation, and commitment to the construction industry in Canada.

“It represents the culmination of months, even years of meticulous planning, hard work, and determination,” said Seguin. “I am excited to share that this new plant means a substantial investment and commitment to the future. We have not only erected a cutting-edge facility but also set the stage for our growth.”

Seguin said the company was looking to locate close to Toronto with access to highways and labor.

“We identified a couple of sites and Brant County came out on top of our research,” he noted. “We got local help from different partners, and it was a very smooth operation.”
