This global event was conducive to digital attacks, to discredit and destabilize France, and this, from the opening of the games.

This petition, Viginum notes, was the subject of three phases of diffusion on the X platform, the second tweet generating more than two million views, a particularly high visibility compared to the account’s usual publications.

The French technical service notes that this informational maneuver benefited from a boost by being reshared by influential English-speaking accounts.
Many actors
Several categories of actors thus attacked France during the Olympic and Paralympic Games: the French services identified interference from China, Russia, movements related to political Islam as well as the identity and conspiracy movements.
And similarities or common denominators have been observed between these actors, notably the systematic criticism of the organization of the games.

Only the ChinaFrench experts note, used informational maneuvers as a self-promotion mechanism, amplifying a narrative according to which the Olympic village, due to lack of money, was devoid of air conditioning, a failure which, of course, would never have happened in the Middle Kingdom.
