Utrecht – The number of bicycle thefts in the municipality of Utrecht is increasing rapidly. Where 3034 declarations were made here in 2021, this number rose to 4101 last year. That is an increase of about 35 percent. The city center in particular is a popular place for bicycle thieves, as more than a quarter of thefts took place there.
