Russian leader Vladimir Putin has told the Defense Ministry that he has put the country’s strategic nuclear power on “special alert”. Experts, on the other hand, are of the opinion that Putin’s nuclear order should be taken seriously.

Speaking to journalist Christiane Amanpour from CNN International, François Heisbourg, President of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), warned that Vladimir Putin’s nuclear card should be taken seriously.
Heisbourg made statements about Putin’s transition to a special war mission for the nuclear deterrent forces of the Russian army and said, “The events of the last days have shown that President Putin is not playing a bluff game. (Putin) He says what he wants and then does what he does and tries to get what he wants.” said.
The expert then warned, “For this reason, I take the threat seriously. This issue should be handled seriously, not just as a bluff,” he said.
In his speech announcing the military operation in Ukraine last week, the Russian leader said, “Anyone who thinks of intervening from the outside should know: If you do this, you will pay a greater price than anything you have experienced in your history.”

After meeting with Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu and Chief of Staff Valeriy Gerasimov, Putin instructed the Russian army’s deterrent forces, including nuclear weapons and hypersonic missiles, to be put in a “special warfare situation”.
