Nuclear, Urso meets supply chain: “Let’s reopen the road”

(Finance) – “We have first-rate companies in Italy and we must reopen the path to nuclear power, which has elements of greater safety than in the past, is economical and has zero emissions”. This was stated by the Minister of Business and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, who met a delegation of Edison, Ansaldo Nucleare, Enea, Polytechnic of Turin and Nomisma Energia which illustrated a study on new generation nuclear energy.

Experts highlighted the need to achieve the objectives of complete decarbonization by 2050 athrough a mix of production sources that also includes the presence of a share of “thermal energy”, underlining how nuclear power represents the ideal solution.

“We want to keep up with other European countries and ensure competitive energy costs and supplies to Italian industries – continued Minister Urso –. In the next days I will be in Slovakia at the inauguration of the new reactor at the Mochovce power plant, built by Enel.
