The unions want automatic compensation for price increases in the salary of NS staff. In addition, they demand a one-off payment of 600 euros and an adjustment to the scheme to stop working earlier. Almost 17,000 employees are covered by the NS collective labor agreement.
The first strike day announced is Friday and coincides with a strike by workers in regional transport. They then lay down their work in Friesland, Groningen, Drenthe and Overijssel. This also concerns requirements for a better collective labor agreement.
