Prior to the Provincial Council elections in March, the Kieskompas put forward a similar statement: “there is no room for the wolf in the province of Utrecht”. This showed a completely different result than now, namely that about 40 percent of the Utrecht population would rather see the animal stay away from the province. Part of the province seems to think that the wolf is welcome in the Netherlands, but rather not in Utrecht.
