NoWay creates a tier list of all German Twitch streamers based on gaming skills – after 10 minutes he argues with everyone about one streamer

The German Twitch streamer Frederik “NoWay” Hinteregger is one of the world’s leading League of Legends streamers. As a former LoL pro, he knows the game and is very good at it. Now he has created a tier list of all German Twitch streamers on stream and sorted them according to their gaming skills. After just a few minutes, things got out of hand. The Twitch chat and NoWay argued about how good the Minecraft streamer BastiGHG is.

How did the Tier List come about?

  • NoWay is currently streaming LoL from Mexico. He is there following an invitation from a local league.
  • On May 28th, he was live on Twitch for 9 hours and in the breaks, while he waited to get into a new LoL match, he created the tier list in lively exchange with his chat.
  • A community member had created the template for him and he then ranked the streamers standing up and freehand according to their playing strength. He was merciless: even if you were one of the best in the world in a big game, you were only just considered for the A tier.

    The best and worst streamers are quickly determined

    This is how it started: The first two streamers he named “GodTier” in a first draft of the list were the two German variety streamers: Dhalucard and Repaz. Dhalucard is at the top of all events, Repaz simply has to be honored.

    But he already stumbled with his first teammate: LoL player Agurin, a jungler with whom NoWay plays on his team NNO, is one of the best players in the world in LoL, but pretty bad at shooters.

    However, LoL is such a big game and Agurin is so good that he actually belongs in the highest tier. NoWay fought back and ultimately placed Agurin in the A tier, but behind Dhalucard and Repaz.

    The question about the worst German streamers was easier: “Where is Knossi?” He and Fritz Meinecke immediately landed in the “Dogshit” tier.

    A dispute breaks out with the 6th streamer

    When did the ranking go off the rails? NoWay already had a problem with the 6th streamer on the list: The German streamer BastiGHG was, in the eyes of the chat, a world-class Minecraft streamer and should be at least in A-Tier, i.e. on a level with Dhalucard and Repaz.

    But NoWay found no arguments to rank him so high. Minecraft is not that skill-based, it’s all about knowledge. And the prize money that BastiGHG won was only in Twitch Rivals tournaments – that doesn’t really count. He belongs in the B tier at most. NoWay won’t let anyone tell him what to do.

    The Twitch chat complained:

  • “If he’s B-tier, then you’re just B-tier too.”
  • “If that’s B-tier, you might as well stop with the list.”

    • How did it end? 6 hours later, the tier list was ready and has been actively discussed on X/Twitter ever since.

    Ultimately, it turned out to be a very strict tier list: no one was added to the top 3 German streamers. Although NoWay says that solo singing also belongs in this category – he is a “crazy” player.

    NoWay has placed itself in the B tier, while BastiGHG has even slipped into the C tier.

    Even NoWay says that this is a “very high” list. Of course, they are all great.

    The comments say that the list contains so much explosive material that there should be warnings about it.

    What stands out about the list?

    NoWay’s number 1 is Vadeal, a 19-year-old Fortnite player who has around 2,000 viewers on Twitch. NoWay has not listed our favorite among the top streamers on Twitch, apparently not even NoWay knows him: The best gamer among the top 20 German Twitch streamers exists outside the scene
