Now warmer temperatures are coming – this is what the week offers

Sweden has seen some rain clouds and cooler temperatures recently.
But during the next week, sun and heat are expected – it will be the best in southern Sweden.
– We will see a lot of sun there. Temperatures that on some days are reminiscent of high summer heat, with around 25 degrees, says meteorologist Johan Wiksten.

The last few weeks have been lined with rain and clouds and it’s been a while since we talked about any high summer heat. But this week the weather turns, at least for a few days.

– It starts to appear at the beginning and middle of this week, says TV4’s meteorologist Johan Wiksten.

The weather is at its best there

It will be most beautiful in Götaland and Svealand.

– We get high pressure in southern Sweden where we will see a lot of sun. Temperatures that on some days are reminiscent of high summer heat, with around 25 degrees.

But even if several days of sunshine are to be expected, there will not be a constant clear blue sky, according to Johan Wiksten.

– It is interspersed with clouds. Locally there may be some showers. But generally it becomes more stable and drier.

The heat doesn’t reach everywhere – it gets cooler here

Northern Sweden, however, will not be reached by the same temperatures as the rest of the country. The heat seems to be climbing upwards in height with Östersund and Örnsköldsvik.

– The heat reaches the farthest north on Tuesday, then you get sun and high summer temperatures. Further north it is more frugal. But it can get hot on a few days even in Tornedalen, says Johan Wiksten.

It will be extra chilly for those who have decided to go mountain hiking.

– There are a lot of people in the mountains now. The temperature there will be between 10 and 15 degrees. Tuesday offers slightly higher temperatures, but otherwise it is rainy.

Then comes the twist

Towards the end of the week, Sweden is reached by new weather systems and more clouds are on offer, even in the southern parts of the country.

– At the weekend, new fronts will arrive with rain and showers moving in. The week after, we get the more unstable weather back, says Johan Wiksten.

So for all sun worshipers and bathers, it’s important to take advantage of the days ahead.

– Many probably feel that it is welcome with more stable temperatures that are not too hot, between 20 and 25 degrees. You have to get out and take care because it will soon be autumn.
