Although Greenland 2: Migration was announced fairly quickly after the launch of the original, there have been hardly any notable updates about the sequel in the past few months. Now things are getting serious: After the start of filming was announced a few days ago, there is now a specific date for the start of filming.

Butler returns as John Garrity, who wants to protect his family from the end of the world. Director Ric Roman Waugh, who directed the previous film, is also back at the start.

In addition, Collider writes that various castings will take place in the next few days to fill the new roles in the sequel. Greenland 2: Migration is shot with one Budget of $65 million. That’s almost twice as much as it took to produce the first part.
