Now there are 3 million more reasons to watch season

Many subscribers have not previously considered Netflix to be a bubbling source of brilliant adaptations. But maybe that will change. After all, One Piece was well received by fans, and not just on Moviepilot. And when it comes to streaming numbers, the new series Avatar: The Lord of the Elements is now even pulling ahead past the anime adaptation.

Avatar is enjoying great streaming success on Netflix

As Netflix itself reports, Avatar collected 21.2 million views in its first four days since launch. The definition of the streaming service for a “View” has already changed several times. According to the Hollywood Reporter, a view is calculated from the total time that viewers spend with a series, divided by its length. But the definition is less important than the comparison.

As IGN calculates, for example, Avatar already has 21.2 million views overtaken the Netflix hit One Piece. It only managed to attract 18.5 million in its first four days, falling behind the new adaptation by around 3 million. That sounds like a solid argument for Season 2.

When is Avatar Season 2 coming to Netflix?

However, it is difficult to estimate how much relevance Netflix attaches to Avatar’s previous streaming figures. As IGN suspects, Netflix will release a second season based on a mix of fan reaction and views. However, for a reliable statement significantly more than four days of analysis are necessary.

Judging by the reactions on Rotten Tomatoes or Metacritic, the series is not considered a masterpiece, but it is also far from a major disappointment. One Piece Season 2 is definitely coming. So if Avatar maintains its previous success long enough, there’s nothing to stop it from continuing 2025.
