Now the sun is coming back – but the first frosty night in the south

After rain and debris, the weather will be sunny in many places this weekend. At the same time, some areas experience the season’s first minus temperatures.
– But during the day it will be warm and nice in the sun, says TV4’s meteorologist Ulrika Elvgren.

We are leaving a cloudy week behind us. But just in time for the weekend, a high pressure pulls in over the country.

– It will be warm and nice in the sun. In south-eastern Sweden it can be quite high temperatures, up to 18, 19, almost 20 degrees, says Ulrika Elvgren, meteorologist at TV4.

But while it will be sunny and fairly high daytime temperatures, it will be cold at night. The hours during the night to Saturday could be the coldest of the season so far, in several places.

– For the first time this autumn, it is expected to be below zero in Götaland. Västergötland, Småland and Östergötland are expected to have a frosty night.

“Crispy autumn weather”

In Norrland, the weather will be all the more autumnal, day and night.

– It will be cold at night, certainly with seasonally low temperatures, but nice autumn days with crisp air and clear weather.

Chance to see the Northern Lights

In recent days, there have been northern lights over several parts of the country. And since the weather will be significantly clearer this weekend, the chances will be even better – even in the south.

– The eruptions on the sun have only continued, so there are good chances to see the northern lights this weekend.

The clear and nice autumn weather is expected to remain even at the beginning of next week.

– Next week, a new high pressure will arrive. It will be quite warm September weather. But it remains to be seen how sunny it will be, says the meteorologist.
