Now the disgusting cult film with one of the most

Blood, sex and effects that are as explicit as possible: The Italian horror film of the 70s produced some disgusting classics that drove morale guards to the barricades.

At the forefront was director Lucio Fulci (A Zombie Hanging from a Bell Rope), whose films are hated and loved for their tackiness. Inspired by the success of Dawn of the Dead, he brought his undead grenade Woodoo to cinemas in 1979. The horror film shows off the Close-up of a wood shaving piercing an eye, and one of the most incredible stunts in film history.

In Germany, Woodoo aka Zombie Flesh Eaters ended up in 1982 because of the glorification of violence in the list of media harmful to young people. The justification stated that the film contained a “Sequence of brutalities of the most gruesome kind”. For years, the film was only available in Germany in an edited format. That changed in January. The indexing has been removed, as is written by sectional reports. But it doesn’t stop there.

The zombie film will be released uncut and in 4K quality

As part of the delisting, Nameless Media has announced that they will be releasing Woodoo – Zombie Island in a media book, in 4K quality. You can take a look at the cover here:

Lucio Fulci’s horror film features one of the most incredible stunts in cinematic history

Much of the action takes place on a Caribbean island called Matul, where an epidemic is raising the dead and craving human flesh. The zombies in Woodoo are relatively slow, but they feel at home in (almost) all elements. This underscores one of the film’s most famous scenes, in which an undead underwater fighting a shark. In the absence of computer effects, a real human appeared and took on a sedated shark in one of the most irresponsible (and impressive) stunts in film history.
