On Wednesday evening, this year’s athletics European Championship ends and in the spotlight is, of course, the Swedish world star Armand Duplantis. He comes to the championship as the reigning world champion and Olympic champion as well as an eight-time world record holder.

For Mondo, it was something completely new and different compared to his sports career.
– Yes, but of course it’s a little different from my normal life. But it was a really cool and fun experience to be in Vogue. And to do it with “Dessie”, it will be extra special, he says in a TV interview with Expressen.

It was also extra unexpected for Duplantis when he was photographed in shoes with high heels.
– I had heels! High heels, yup! I tried walking in them, it’s something I won’t wear on a normal day but, well, it was something else. Maybe it wasn’t an outfit that I wear otherwise, but but… Now I understand Dessie when she complains about having to walk around in heels. I understand the problem, he says to the evening newspaper.
