In 2016-2017, around 360 households signed their advance agreements to buy apartments in Karlatornet, which with its 246 meters is the tallest building in the Nordics. And now finally, after years of delays, it’s time to move in. Move-in takes place first in 90 apartments up to and including floor 27, everything above is a construction site.
– It feels good, you have waited so long now, says Armin Ghoroghi, who has bought a second apartment on the eighth floor.
When he made the decision to buy his apartment two years ago, the financial situation looked different. The market has changed and interest rates have gone up.
Bought a second one for 3.6 million
Armin Ghoroghi then bought his 49 square meters for SEK 3,615,000. The monthly fee is SEK 3,757.
– I see it as both a home and an investment, even if it has become more expensive than I thought, says Armin Ghoroghi.
– It’s great fun that you can add something new to society. Not everyone likes high-rise buildings, but many think this adds something special to the city, says Ola Serneke, CEO Serneke Invest, who ran the project.
Karlatornet will have 611 apartments. Right now 489 are sold. Next summer, it is expected that everything will be finished and that everyone will have moved in.
