Suspected dangerous object in stairwell in Kungsängen – residents were evacuated
An extensive police operation was underway in Kungsängen in northern Stockholm during the night after a suspected dangerous object was found in the stairwell of an apartment building.
– Residents on the first two floors have been evacuated via their balconies, says Ola Österling, spokesperson for the Stockholm Police.
Several suspected arsons in the country – VMA issued
An extensive fire has broken out in a company building with several businesses in central Perstorp in Skåne. A VMA was issued to the public asking residents in the area to stay inside and close their windows.
A little later in the night, another fire broke out, this time in a furniture store in Själevad in Örnsköldsvik. A VMA was issued urging people to stay indoors. The smoke could also affect visibility on the E4.
The incidents are both classified as suspected arson by the police.
