During the day, Northvolt, together with the employment agency and Skellefteå municipality, arranged a fair specifically aimed at those notified at the Northvolt battery factory in Skellefteå.
This week it became clear that around 1,100 people have to leave the crisis-stricken Northvolt in Skellefteå.
The competence matches
At Hitachi, it can be seen that there are great opportunities to find competence among those notified, even if the businesses differ.
– Northvolt has recruited very, very good engineering expertise in recent years, which we are also looking for in our expansion, says Elias Ströberg at Hitachi Sweden.
Moving to where the jobs are
One of those present was Sumaiya Ferdaus and she sees no obstacle in moving to where the jobs are. She says she needs to find a new job quickly.
– It is not a problem. I had to move to Skellefteå for the Northvolt job and if I need to move to Ludvika again, it doesn’t matter, says Sumaiya Ferdaus.
