After regional police chief Mats Löfving was found dead in his home in Norrköping on Wednesday, ex-policeman Thomas Agnevik has reported the matter to the authorities and believes that the employer may have caused Löfving’s death.
– I got the feeling that Mats Löfving was very abandoned and alone in this misery, says Agnevik to Corren.
“In my opinion, it is reasonable to assume that Mats Löfving has been in an extremely stressful situation at work and privately for a long time and that the employer’s measures to prevent ill health/accidents among the employee have failed, which may have contributed to or caused his death .”, writes Agnevik in the report.
Mats Löfving’s family has also announced that they will pursue the matter legally.
– We have started a process where we will try to understand how legally this could proceed from now on, said Mats Löfving’s brother Jan to TV4 yesterday.
