Azerbaijan took action because of the anti-Azerbaijani broadcast on Russian state television. In the statement made by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Moscow, the anti-Azerbaijani statements made by Russian political scientists and experts of Armenian origin in the “Great Game” program broadcast on Russia’s First Channel on October 20-21, 2022, under suspicion of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity. It was stated that a note was given to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the Embassy regarding the release of the state and the falsification of the state map.
DETAILS OF THE NOTE
In the note, it was emphasized that the guests of the program incited the vengeful forces in the Armenian community to rekindle the past conflict and openly supported separatism, sowing the seeds of enmity between the two peoples.
In the note, it was stated that this is contrary to the agreement on alliance activities signed between Azerbaijan and Russia on February 22, 2022, and that all kinds of actions that will harm strategic partnership and alliance relations and actions against the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of states are prohibited.
The Azerbaijani side demanded that Russia take urgent measures to stop the provocative actions of Russian media representatives and not to repeat them in the future. (UAV)
