The investigation against the police officer who shot a defiant man in Jönköping at the beginning of January is closed, reports P4 Jönköping.

Two police officers were injured with a stabbing weapon during the incident. One of them suffered life-threatening injuries but survived. During the intervention, the violent 35-year-old was shot in the leg.

The preliminary investigation against the police officer who fired his service weapon has now been closed. The prosecutor believes that the shot was permitted and justifiable.
