Municipalities have difficulty making their buildings more sustainable. About a thousand schools, swimming pools, town halls and cultural centers have a ‘red’ energy label: E, F, or G. That is more than a quarter of all social real estate in municipal ownership, according to figures from real estate advisor Republiq that AD has analyzed. For comparison: an earlier inventory showed last summer that 9 percent of the houses are recognized energy guzzlers.
