“There will be a few artificial cows, so secretly there are some cows,” spokesperson Femke Rodenburg of the municipality of Woerden explains the decision. “This demonstrates how people used to negotiate to buy a cow. In addition, some of the history of the Koeiemart is brought back into the picture and old crafts will be demonstrated.”
