Norwegian Member of Parliament Per-Willy Amundsen will be stripped of all assignments in the Progress Party – except for his parliamentary seat – until January 31, 2025, the party announced.

The announcement comes after he wrote controversially about Islam and women on Facebook earlier in March.

Amundsen, who had previously been Minister of Justice, was shortly after his comments removed from his post as chairman of the Storting’s Justice Committee.
