Norwegian performance against Sebastian Samuelsson immediately after the drama in the World Cup – cocky pass: “Never in my life”

Sebastian Samuelsson has had a dream start to the season.
The Swede now leads the World Cup after third place today.
But still, the Norwegians take the opportunity to send a cheeky pass.

Friday’s sprint race at the World Cup in Hochfilzen developed into a huge drama. And it became a real neighborly feud when Swedes and Norwegians once again settled.

Samuelsson snubbed

Sebastian Samuelsson and Martin Ponsiluoma impressed greatly and was first over the finish line as first and second. But then the Norwegians would come and destroy everything once again.

Even if the big star Johannes Thingnes Bö failed completely, it was the brother Tarjei Bö who became the great success man. Big brother Bö snuffed out both Swedes and took over the lead and then had to wait for the rest of the field to finish.

Norwegian performance

Then it was the countryman Sturla Holm Campsite who challenged the closest but could not reach Tarjei Bö and had to settle for second place ahead of the Swedes. Samuelsson ended up third and Ponsiluoma fourth.

But with third place, “Sebbe” takes over the overall lead and can now compete in the yellow lead jersey going forward.
– It felt good, but I became a little cautious in the lying series. I’m happy with nine hits. I felt a bit sluggish the first lap and lost time. But I had enough strength, says Samuelsson in the SVT broadcast.
– There are two Norwegians who ride well and shoot full. It’s tough. Regardless, there will be a lot of World Cup points, that’s good.

But the winner Tarjei Bö is not nearly as humble in the interviews immediately after the finish and sends a clear pass to the Swedes.
“Never in my life would I lose against the Swedes,” he says in a stern statement to Norwegian TV2.
