The Norwegian newspaper VG interviewed people who knew Rolf Nordmo. They say that they would not have believed the things that have now come to light about the murder suspect.
A former hockey player Janne Puhakan a Norwegian suspected of murder Rolf Nordmon the act came as a complete surprise to people who knew Nordmo.
This will work out Norwegian magazine VG of interviews. Nordmo’s acquaintances appear anonymously in VG’s story.
Nordmo and Puhakka had been dating for about ten years. The couple’s relationship was also reported in the Norwegian media. The relationship had ended a few weeks ago.
One of the people interviewed by VG says that he is in shock.
– I know him as a good and warm person, Nordmo’s friend tells VG.
Rolf Nordmo has told the police during questioning that he shot Puhakka with a shotgun and caused the victim’s death. The head of the investigation of the case Matti Högman previously told that the homicide is being investigated as a murder due to, among other things, its particular brutality.
According to Högman, more violence has been used than “should have been necessary”.
“I was completely surprised”
VG’s article also tells about an anonymous Norwegian journalist who once conducted a personal interview with Nordmo. This had commented on the suspicion of murder to the Norwegian Addresseevanenfor the magazine.
According to the magazine, Nordmo had impressed the journalist as a pleasant family man who had come out of the closet and started a new life in Finland.
– I was completely surprised when the case came to my attention. I never would have guessed this would happen. It was a huge shock, the interviewee said in Adresseavisen.
The reporter described Nordmo as a friendly and attractive man who dared to talk openly about himself.
“I couldn’t have imagined”
VG also interviewed a person who said he knew Nordmo through his work. He described Nordmo as a pleasant person.
– I could not have imagined that he would do this, the interviewee told VG.
According to the interviewee, Nordmo was calm and good at meeting different people.
– He had a good sense of humor and was liked a lot, the interviewee told VG.
According to the interviewee, Nordmo behaved “authoritatively”, although at times he was unnecessarily outspoken.
According to the police, the motive for Puhaka’s murder has been suspected to be the end of a relationship. Today, Tuesday, the police announced the arrest of Rolf Nordmo on suspicion of murder.
The detention session will be held on Wednesday in the district court of Länsi-Uusimaa.
